Gianluigi Riva

Gianluigi M. Riva is a Marie Curie Ph.D. fellow in Privacy, Ethics and New Technologies at the University College Dublin, School of Information and Communication within the TEAM– ITN (H2020), with a project on invasive technologies and consent-manipulation. He represents Ireland at the EU COST Action no.16207 on Problematic Usage of the Internet. Currently, he is a visiting researcher at Telefonica Innovaciò Alpha in Barcelona, Spain, to develop Ethics and Privacy by Design guidelines in Human-Computer Interaction. Before joining academia, he was an attorney at Law, a certified Data Protection Officer, and an ADR qualified mediator.

The Fulbright Schuman Program, administered by the Fulbright Commission in Belgium and jointly financed by the U.S. State Department and the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission awards grants to European citizens to conduct research in the United States and to American citizens to conduct research in the European Union.
